Zoom During my semester abroad in Oxford I was fortunate enough to take a J.R.R. Tolkien tutorial in which I translated the runes on Thror’s map in The Hobbit.
To complete the activity I made a little handwritten guide for later use. As I happen to be a serial procrastinator, I’ve decided to start writing various quotes in the runes using my guide as reference.
The above is Robbie’s note to Cecilia from the Ian McEwan novel Atonement, which reads:

In my dreams I kiss your cunt, your sweet wet cunt. In my thoughts I make love to you all day long.

Please forgive my chicken scratch runes, as they got a bit wonky at the end. I should add that this is imperfect, as I clearly do not know all the actual runes. Just a lot of them. And a few of them are representative of more than one letter (like TH and EE and EA).
